Atlantis Resources nabs last berth at Canada’s FORCE

Tidal power technology developer Atlantis Resources has landed the last berth at the Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy (Force) testing facility being developed in the Minas Passage off Nova Scotia, Canada.

The company, one of five bidding for the place at the landmark Bay of Fundy centre, will work with Lockheed Martin and Irving Shipbuilding to customise, build, deploy and monitor its 1MW AK-1000 Mark II machine next year.

Atlantis joins existing Force berth-holders Nova Scotia Power / OpenHydro, Minas Basin Pulp and Power / Marine Current Turbines, and Alstom / Clean Current technology.
